Hubertus Schmid-Schmidsfelden

Hubertus Schmid-Schmidsfelden is Director for Institutes and Infrastructure at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, a position he has held since February 2023. From 2016 til 2023 he worked at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, the last 4 years serving as Deputy Director General for Research and Internationalization. In his early career he was employed in the Austrian Federation of Industries International Relations Department. Across these roles, he has built extensive experience at the intersection of science policy, internationalization, and institutional development.
