Nicolas Rouyer

Nicolas Rouyer is a Solutions Engineer – Southern Europe Team Lead at Neo4j. Prior to this role, he was a Big Data Expert and Senior Architect at Orange, where he spent a decade working on various projects, including those using Neo4j. Before his time at Orange, Nicolas worked as a software engineer and consultant for GSI companies, including Sopra Steria.

Nicolas is passionate about applying graph technology to manage complex, mission-critical systems in production. He is the co-author of three books, including Neo4j: A Graph Project Story, and holds a master's degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy. He has also completed a data science specialization at MIT, blending his deep technical expertise with strategic insight. Beyond his work at Neo4j, Nicolas actively contributes to the graph database community, frequently creating French-language tutorial videos to help others explore the power of connected data. In his free time, he balances his passion for running, playing the violin, and spending time with his family.
